“COLECCIÓN AL LÍMITE, SIN LÍMITES” ART COLLECTION BROUGHT TO CHILE BY LATAM CARGO

In an effort to connect Latin America with the world through art and culture, LATAM Cargo has partnered with the art magazine Arte Al Límite (AAL) to organize the exhibition “Colección Al Límite, sin Límites”.

From September 5 to November 5, participants of this international encounter of contemporary art will have their meeting place at Espacio Fundación Telefónica, which will host part of the AAL collection.

The display will offer more than 60 pieces by renowned artists from 40 countries around the world –many of them visiting Chile for the first time thanks to LATAM Cargo– who will participate in the different activities that surround the event. Some of the participants are Antuán (Cuba); Heide Hatry (Germany); Adriana Ramírez (Colombia); Diana Drews (Colombia); Maquiamelo (Colombia); Christian Fuchs (Peru); Sol Mateo (Bolivia); Ismael Frigerio and Camila Lobos from Chile.

The exhibit combines photography, installations, paintings and video art with the object of promoting contemporary art, advancing visual arts education, democratizing art by bringing it to the people, and, for the first time, displaying the AAL collection, whose pieces are characterized by multiple approaches to reality that convey messages and raise questions in the mind of observers, together with a profound reflection on the world we inhabit.

Ana María Matthei, AAL director and cultural manager for more than 25 years, comments: “We encourage the public to visit the exhibitions we have especially put together for this occasion, to enjoy and learn about the many diverse artists displaying their work, who represent part of the best the international art scene has to offer in its different styles and forms of expression. Being a free-admission event makes it the perfect opportunity to learn more about contemporary art and the work of many artists who had never been to Chile before.”

Where

Of all the pieces that make up the exhibition, approximately 60 will be on display at Espacio Fundación Telefónica, located on 127, Providencia Avenue. The venue will concentrate most of the “Colección Al Límite, Sin Límites” collection, just steps from different Metro stations.
