LAN CARGO says goodbye to 2013 together with its customers of South America

During the months of November and December, LAN CARGO customers from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Peru met in their respective countries for the traditional event that LAN CARGO holds each year. The goal of these events is to share some quality time with clients, celebrate another year of working together, thank them for preferring our service and reward the most prominent customers.

Below you will find details of the event for each country.

Colombia

The theme was Vintage Party, where about 160 LAN CARGO Colombia customers met at the restaurant NN, a place inspired by the 40s, the era of alcohol prohibition in the U.S., that retains a clandestine concept, better known as speakeasy. Upon entering through a clothing store, customers could enjoy live jazz, blues and gypsy music.

The hosts of the event were representatives from the commercial area, led by Pablo Canales, LAN CARGO Colombia Director, in addition to the domestic cargo commercial team, led by Felipe Caballero, Manager of Domestic Cargo Colombia.

“In this instance we thank customers for their presence and company in 2013, in addition to recognizing our teams for the work carried out during a year of operation. We can fellowship both with customers and among ourselves, in a more relaxed environment and strengthen commercial relationships, “says Pablo Canales, LAN CARGO Colombia Director.

Peru

The Swissotel Lima, located in Miraflores, was the place chosen by LAN CARGO in Peru for its traditional year-end event. More than 160 people gathered at the Star Awards event, where customers of 2013 were awarded, hosted by Matias Palacios, General Manager, and Carlos Repetto, Commercial Manager, both of Peru.

There were four awards categories:

Agency with the most movement: New Transport

Agency with the most growth: Kuehne & Nagel

Agency with the most movement to Europe: DHL Global Forwarding

Agency with the most national movement: Tradel Services

“In this event we do every year we seek to recognize our top customers and thank them for their preference within the industry. Each year we strive to do something creative, fun and of good quality for them, so we can enjoy a pleasant and enjoyable time, celebrating the year of working together,” said Matias Palacios.

Chile

LAN CARGO Club Tapas and Wine was the theme of the meeting attended by customers of Chile. The hosts of the event, held at the Museum of Visual Arts in Santiago, were Alvaro Carril, Commercial Vice President; Carlos Larraín, Commercial Director South America; Luis Castellani, Domestic Cargo Commercial Manager; and Oscar Salazar, Sales Manager Chile, who all spent time with customers and with the international and domestic commercial teams, they were served at each pairing station, with an explanation of the wines from the LAN selection and the indicated tapas for tasting.

The company recognized companies who stood out in performance during 2013 in various categories:

“For the company, especially for the commercial team, this event is very important, as we enjoy a bit of camaraderie with our friends and customers, we have a good time and we serve them as they deserve. We also have the opportunity to recognize those who have played an important role in our business, a very important occasion for LAN CARGO and for each of us who are part of this company,” said Carlos Larraín, Commercial VP South America.

Argentina

About 80 customers gathered at the Hotel Emperador de Recoleta located in Buenos Aires, for the traditional year-end event organized by LAN CARGO, which brings together leading customers of domestic and international cargo business in the country.

The hosts of this event were Eduardo Pizarro, General Manager LAN CARGO Argentina, the international business commercial team, led by Guillermo Waldner, Commercial Manager, and from domestic business, led by Mariano Segarra, Commercial Manager Cargo Argentina. The event also featured the participation of Carlos Larraín, Commercial Director South America.

On this occasion there was a drawing for three double tickets to Bariloche, Miami and Los Angeles, whose winners were the companies JAB, Kuehne-Nagel and Trust Cargo INT’L, respectively.

“This event is designed to thank customers for their confidence each year in our service. To show our gratitude we invite them to this cocktail, where we take part in a nice time with everyone,” said Eduardo Pizarro, General Manager LAN CARGO Argentina.

Ecuador, Guatemala y Costa Rica

In the case of Ecuador, House of Rock was the place chosen for the more than 150 LAN CARGO customers who participated in the 2013 version of this meeting. The hosts of the event, with a Rock Party theme, were Gastón Delaporte, Regional Director, and Paola Murillo, Sales Executive Ecuador.

In this event, different companies who excelled in four categories were recognized:

Global Routes: 1st Place – Fresh Logistics / 2nd Place – Aeroservi

Miami: 1st Place – Esmeralda Farms / 2nd Place – G & G

Europe: 1st Place – Ecucarga / 2nd Place – Transinternacional Carga

South: 1st Place – D&C Cargo

Zoel Estrada, Commercial Manager of Guatemala, and Gastón Delaporte received more than 40 customers from Guatemala at the Restaurant Meatmarket for the 4th version of the event for LAN CARGO customers.

A few days later, more than 50 customers in Costa Rica gathered at Applebees restaurant for the traditional event that LAN CARGO holds every year.

“We wanted to close a year of so much work, sharing in a pleasant and relaxed time with our clients.  Furthermore, this is the best reward we can give to the teams working hard every day to get the cargo to its destination. It is a good instance to toast what was done and what is to come,” said Gastón Delaporte, Regional Director.
