LATAM Cargo travels to Munich to take part in Air Cargo Europe

Over 60,000 people gathered together in Munich from May 9 to 12 to attend Air Cargo Europe, the largest international cargo, logistics, and supply chain trade fair in Europe. In its 8th edition, it gathered together more than 2,100 exhibitors from 62 countries, who showcased their products and services to visitors from the cargo and logistics industries.

At the time, LATAM Cargo received the CEIV PHARMA certification from Glyn Hughes, Head of International Cargo of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which accredits the quality and processes of airlines when it comes to transporting pharmaceutical products. “Achieving this certification is a milestone in the continuous improvement of our PHARMA product and, at the same time, for our entire portfolio. In Europe, we have started implementing PHARMA over two years ago, and, since then, we have focused on extending it to different hubs of origin. This certification validates our professional work and encourages us to keep the same dedication to expanding this product from Europe to South America”, said Guido Henke, director at LATAM Cargo Europe.

In addition to highlighting its PHARMA product, LATAM Cargo arrived at Air Cargo News with great news for its customers, including the qualification of the product on the routes they already operated every day from Barcelona and Milan to Guarulhos, one of the destinations most sought after by the European market. These routes add up to Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Brussels. Further, in order to continue improving the alternatives for customers forwarding PHARMA from Europe to Latin America, LATAM Cargo launched a new route a few weeks ago. Twice a month, a B777F freighter operates from Amsterdam to Brasilia.

The fair also counted on the participation of countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, France, Austria, Spain, England, Czech Republic, Poland and China, among others.
