LATAM Cargo inaugurates the Miami-Brasília route to transport over 2,000 tons per year to the Federal District

São Paulo, August 29, 2023 – LATAM Cargo announces the inauguration of the Miami-Brasília cargo route with two weekly flights aboard Boeing 767-300F aircraft. The expansion of connectivity streamlines and enhances the import of pharmaceuticals, electronics, and general cargo from the United States to the Federal District, benefiting the logistics chain throughout the Central-West of Brazil.

In addition to the above, in Miami, cargo from Europe and Asia is also loaded onto flights bound for Brasília. The company plans to transport more than 2,000 tons per year on this new route, which will operate on Sundays and Thursdays.

“The Boeing 767-300F has the capacity to carry 53 tons per flight. Previously, to reach Brasília, these shipments had to disembark and connect to other flights and airports. In practice, the Miami-Brasília route reduces the average import time from the United States to the Federal District from three to one day,” explained Otávio Meneguette, director of LATAM Cargo in Brazil.

LATAM CARGO HAS THE LARGEST CONNECTIVITY IN BRAZIL

Currently, LATAM Cargo serves 49 destinations in Brazil and connects the country to another 19 internationally. The company conducts its transportation in cargo aircraft and in the cargo holds of 90% of LATAM’s passenger aircraft fleet.
