Monsters of Rock lands in Argentina with TAM Cargo

In early May, TAM Cargo transported 45 tons of musical instruments belonging to some of the big names in the music business. Cargo was loaded on a B767F in Sao Paulo and landed in Buenos Aires, where the Monsters of Rock festival took place.

The instruments belonged to the some of the big stars of the hard rock universe: Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne and Motorhead, who played at the Parque de la Ciudad in Buenos Aires, 20 years after their legendary first show in Argentina.

More than 45 tons of musical instruments were transported to Buenos Aires for this emblematic hard rock festival.

Monsters of Rock are a series of rock festivals born in England and held annually at Donnington Park — with its 1980 and 1996 editions among the most memorable.

In 1980, promoter Paul Loasby planned a one-day summer festival dedicated to hard rock and heavy metal bands, which featured Rainbow, Judas Priest, Saxon and Riot, among many others.  Over the years, this music event was reproduced in several cities in Europe and the Americas, with the 1991 edition in Moscow the most emblematic, featuring bands like AC/DC, Metallica, The Black Crowes, Pantera and E.S.T.
