During the month of June, a group of Cargo Net clients visited the LAN CARGO facilities in Santiago, Chile, to witness the unloading of one the Company’s biggest aircraft: the Boeing 777.
The aircraft, coming from Miami, loaded to maximum capacity, landed at 11:30 a.m. While the aircraft was being prepared to unload the clients toured the facilities that LAN Cargo owns at the airport in Santiago, the cooler; the dangerous goods area; the dry cargo deposit area, and the domestic cargo terminal, among other places.
“These activities are very valuable for our clients who were able to learn, in detail, about the LAN CARGO Boeing 777F, its cargo capacity and its fuselage. In addition, it allowed them to observe the logistics operation on site at the airport, the loading and unloading processes, the time involved when loading the aircraft, the complexity in the handling of the elements and the actual stowing of the aircraft. It is a unique experience, professionally as well as personally, that we hope to be able to repeat in the near future”, stated Cristian Hozven Ferretti, Sales Manager Cargo Net.
