Cristián Ureta, CEO of LAN CARGO, receives the Juan Trippe Award at the annual GMAA Gala

On October 12, Cristián Ureta, CEO of LAN CARGO, was presented with the Juan Trippe Award at the 86th Annual Greater Miami Aviation Association Gala. This award is in recognition of individual contributions made to the development of international aviation.

The award is in remembrance of Juan Trippe, whose career began in Pan American World Airways, Inc. in 1927. Under his leadership, the company became a pioneer of routes and international flights.

Other awards presented at the gala were the Wright Brothers Memorial, received by David Bassett, CEO and founder of Amerijet International Inc., and the Glenn Curtiss Award, given to Walter E. Houghton, Assistant Professor of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
