LAN CARGO attends important trade shows during the last quarter of the year

During the months of October and November, LAN CARGO and its affiliates have been present in three major industry and export sector trade shows: PROFLORA, held in Bogotá; International Floriculture Trade Fair (IFTE), developed in Amsterdam; and Air Cargo Americas, held in Miami.

We invite you to learn the importance of LAN CARGO and its affiliates engaging in these kinds of occasions.

PROFLORA

Between October 2 and 4, the 12th version of this flower fair took place, held every two years in Colombia and bringing together more than 450 exhibitors and 100 buyers from 29 different countries.

Among the exhibitors were producers, shippers and transporters, and other suppliers, and attendees learned about the entire production chain and logistics of the flower industry.

“For LAN CARGO it is essential to be part of this expo, since it is one of the most important taking place in South America, and Colombia being the largest producer and exporter in Latin America. In this instance we are able show the company’s experience in transporting flowers, share more closely with our customers and show them the benefits of our network,” says Pablo Canales, Manager LAN CARGO Colombia.

The event was inaugurated by the President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, and was attended, among others, by delegates from the Dutch government and representatives from the U.S.

International Floriculture Trade Fair (IFTE)

All segments of the flower industry gathered in the Netherlands between November 6 and 8 for the 4th edition of the International Horticulture Trade Fair.

Held at the Expo Haarlemmermeer, where the FloraHolland flower auction is held in the city of Vijfhuizen, near Amsterdam and Aslsmeer, the occasion brought together more than 300 exhibitors including producers, technical and service suppliers, and buyers with 25,000 attendees from 114 different countries.

LAN CARGO has participated in this event since its first edition, since for us Amsterdam is the point of contact with our customers in Europe, plus a place for communication and loyalty. Together with TAM Cargo, this year we wanted to highlight the vast network we have to transport flowers with origin in Colombia and Ecuador. It was also an occasion to spend time with clients and discuss projects for the coming year,” said Gaston Delaporte, Manager Cargo Ecuador and Central America.

Air Cargo Americas

Over 7000 executives of the air cargo industry from 65 countries met between November 6th and 8th at the Double Tree by Hilton & Miami Airport Convention Center, for this trade show which is held every two years and showcases the latest products and technologies in the industry.

Air Cargo Americas is the largest air cargo exhibition in the Western Hemisphere, and this year brought the entire industry of South and North America together, with leading companies in manufacturing, exports and imports and distributors from the region.

At this trade show, relationships between customers and exhibitors were facilitated through lectures and seminars in which the current state of the industry and what different companies are doing was discussed.

“For LAN CARGO and its team it is very important to be present at Air Cargo Americas, as it is an occasion that brings together decision makers in major Freight Forwarders from the United States and Latin America. At the show, we had the opportunity to meet with our current and potential customers and to show them the services and solutions we can deliver through our comprehensive network of flights to and from Latin America, in addition to participating in industry conferences,” says Matias Lagos, Senior Commercial Manager North America and Asia.
