July 15, 2020 – Lima, Peru. Today, LATAM Peru was the airline in charge of reopening the country’s skies by resuming national operations after the border closure caused by the national emergency.
“We are thrilled to relaunch our domestic operation. This first take-off is the result of LATAM´s hard work over the last months, and it will allow us to continue flying together within Peru,” stated Manuel van Oordt, LATAM Airlines Peru’s CEO.
The airline will resume its operation to 14 national destinations with the highest standards and safety protocols required by the authorities in order to ensure passengers’ well-being. In addition, relaunching domestic operations will allow cargo transportation capacity to reactivate, making it more possible to continue transporting essential goods to the country’s cities.
